Rhombus Care Group (RCG) are a newly established Residential Care Provider registered with the CQC on 25 July 2019. RCG have developed a team of highly qualified individuals that can attribute all the knowledge and experience required. Our Registered Manager has been supporting many individuals with Autism and Learning Difficulties to learn new skills for over 14 years.
Asif Mughal and Nadeem Mughal, the founders of Rhombus Care Group, have over 10 years’ experience in property development and designing support packages for people from the most destitute aspects of society. They founded RCG so they could develop their innovative ideas on how to transform the way services are shaped and provided. They have worked carefully to develop teams that follow their principles and ethos. Their team is dedicated to providing an alternative lifestyle for people who have complex support requirements. It is a fundamental belief of the RCG executive and staff that each individual can develop a level of independent living that exceeds expectations by working within our lifespan approach to provide care that works for each person’s present and future.
Rhombus Care Group is a specialist provider of 24-hour support for young adults with a developmental impairment. RCG works with individuals across the spectrum of learning disability, autism and developmental impairment. We also support individuals with a dual diagnosis, e.g. mental illness and autism.
Our vision can only be achieved by undertaking a detailed assessment of an individual and understanding how they engage with the world around them, with people, their sensory triggers and the building details or adaptations that can make all the difference to their daily living and their need for active one-to-one support.
Our Primary Objective
Our primary objective is to work on intervention and support with young people and adults between the ages of 18-25. We focus on those individuals whom behaviour or presentation impacts on opportunities and result in reduced access in the community. This includes behaviours that may harm the individuals or others around them. Our goal is to make an individual’s world work for them, whilst supporting positive identity and reducing reliance on behaviours that may cause harm.
Our support model encompasses a lifespan approach, which considers how support provided now impacts over a person’s lifetime. Our support model incorporates working alongside statutory and other agencies to put the individual and their family at the heart of our care and support.
Our approach
Our underpinning approach is Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) which combines the conceptual framework of applied behaviour analysis with the value base of social role valorisation and framework of person-centered approaches. PBS is about establishing trust, developing relationships, building on strengths, teaching new skills and behaviours that safely gain or avoid for the person.
At RCG, we believe it is essential to understand the sensory needs of each person with Learning Difficulties. We understand that light, sound and touch can all act as triggers that create stress and anxiety for these individuals; whom have complex needs and can find this difficult to manage. This can restrict their opportunities to manage their own needs daily.
