Gabriel House

Our specialism is 24-hour residential care service. We have created a state of the art, purpose built residential home in Whalley Range, Manchester. It is our desire to provide our services in Greater Manchester, commencing with our first home in Whalley Range. One of our core aims is to reduce the usage of out of area placements, as we can provide quality support and housing within the region. Using the bespoke designed accommodation at Gabriel House we can provide comprehensive specialist 24-hour residential care.

Gabriel House has 5 ensuite bedrooms in a building that has been expertly redesigned for young adults with autism and associated developmental impairments. The rooms have been designed so that the space, light and sound can be managed with a detailed level of control. This is an ideal place for individuals who benefit from an environment where your sensory experience can be changed and adapted to suit the individual’s needs.

The property itself compromises of 3 lounge areas including a sensory room, a large kitchen and dining facility, spacious grounds and a quiet meditation garden. It has been fitted with a host of communication extras and safety features that facilitate greater independence.

We understand that people with autism and learning difficulties may see, hear and feel the world differently. Whilst all people with autism and other learning difficulties share common traits, what works for one person will be inadequate for someone else. It is widely recognised that autism is a syndrome that affects people’s social communication, their social and emotional understanding and their ability for flexible thinking – but we also understand that autism can be understood as a sensory impairment – and this underpins the design of our property and our service.
